REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA
On August 8th 2008 during the opening day of the Olympic Games in China, Mr Valdimir Putin ordered Russian National Force to bombard several targets in the Republic of Georgia. Many childred and women died or or were wounded as a result. Volunteer Medics Worldwide departed it's earthquake operations in China and mounted a rescue and recovery effort within 12 hours of being asked to assist Georgians. It was a difficult and hard on the stomach type of missiononce again seeing so many young children without parents, dirty, hungry,scared and wondering what had happenend! Though there are many excuses floating about as to just why so many civillians were killed and effected, one thing is for certain , we were needed to provide care and leadership in this time of crisis! God was with us and send fellow Christians to join with us in our efforts to aide the suffering. As always, clean drinking water, bandages, food and a place to sleep were among the highest of priorities during the first few days following the attacks.
