JOPLIN TORNADO MISSION

On May 22nd a massive super tornado stuck Joplin, Missouri USA!! Nearly 150 people have been killed and others are still dying from their injuries. (9,000 homes destroyed and 8,500 business owners effected. Volunteer medics is on the scene providing medical support, food, water , fuel, hygiene products , clothing and leadership at temporary sites in Joplin.

Above: These photos were taken from the air by Gerald Scott Flint, Director of VMW. They show just how much of Joplin was devasted by the May 22nd Tornado. One month has past today and so much is yet to be done before life can return to normal for any of Joplin's residents.

Above: Ellis is a volunteer who does everything from provide security to unload trucks at two of the distribution sites in Joplin, MO. Ellis is scheduled to depart for basic training with the US Military in Jan 2012.
Above: Stephanie helps to unload a truck of food donated by Tyson foods. Many local and national companies have provided a variety of items to distribution centers free of charge. Stephanie is originally from from Joplin but now lives in Kanas. She makes the drive each day to do whatever we have asked of here to make it all happen fro the victims of one of the worst tornadoes on record.

Above: Alexandria volunteers to help with cooking, distributing water and caring for children at the center. Alexandria is currently in Premed and wants to become practice in an area where she will be most needed.
